Sewage Pumping Station and Storage Vessel – Cherry Flat Rd, Ballarat, Victoria

Cherry Flat Rd, Ballarat | Victoria

The goals of the project were to provide extra capacity for the network and for any development south of the Pinnacle Pump Station to be able to gravity feed to the new sewer pump station.

Maintaining the balance between human development and the surrounding ecosystems

The City of Ballarat’s population is projected to grow to over 160,000 by 2040. To support the City’s projected growth, Central Highlands Water (CHW) is investing $3million for the construction of the Ballarat Southern Trunk Sewer Project. The wastewater system supplied by Aquatec is part of the Cherry Flat Road Sewer Pump Station currently under construction.

CHW’s investment in building water and wastewater infrastructure that can accommodate future population growth will ensure that community needs will be met, supporting social and economic development in the Ballarat West Growth Area. Aquatec’s systems contribute towards maintaining the balance between human development and the surrounding ecosystems by ensuring proper wastewater treatment and disposal.

A scalable solution that will support future developments

We partnered with Spiire to design, manufacture, and install a wastewater system as part of the Cherry Flat Road Sewer Pump Station. The Pump Station will be connected to the 1.78km main sewer pipeline that encircles the Pinnacle and Cherry Side Estates. The project’s goals were to provide extra capacity for the network and for any development south of the Pinnacle Pump Station to gravity feed to the new sewer pump station.
