Over 15 countries, private and public sector, Deputy Prime Minister, Government Ministers, Water utilities, CEOs, Australian Water Association, DFAT, AWP, SPC, PRIF, ADB, World Bank, UNICEF and Business Leaders representing over 300 delegates from the Pacific Water and Wastewater Association attended to discuss collective solutions that will help shape a water-secure future for the Pacific.

Substantial rainfall during the conference, ending a local drought, served as a timely reminder of the vital importance of effective water management. It highlighted the need for infrastructure to optimise and manage our most precious resource—water.

As Pacific Island nations navigate the challenges of climate change, the insights and solutions discussed at the conference will contribute to shaping a more resilient and water-secure future for the region.

Fuimaono Dominic Schwalger, CEO of Samoa Water Authority and Pacific Water and Wastewater Association Chairman, spoke about the importance of investing in infrastructure that will accommodate the expanding population, address public health, and the environment, and provide cost-effective solutions.

Working with the Samoa Water Authority to upgrade Apia’s wastewater infrastructure, Aquatec supplied over 125 OGP+ Commercial Pressure Sewer Systems, both three-phase and single-phase, commercial and industrial applications in Apia.

We also supplied residential systems to replace aging non-network septic tank systems for community and environmental benefits.
